Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Friday said the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project will have a multiplier effect on the economy and spur development in the entire region bringing more businesses to Maximum City. Blaming the earlier Uddhav Thackrey govt in Maharashtra, he said the project would have seen much faster progress had the then govt expedited nods and not "created hurdles" in the land acquisition process.
